Two friends, 12 years old in a boarding school just outside Norwich. The school is a beautiful building, surrounded by idyllic countryside, full of boys full of promise and teachers keen to nurture this promise. On the whole.
But for these two particular boys, life is unbearable. Their housemaster has taken a liking to them, or rather, a liking to beating them. There seems only one way out. Murder.
